As an initial benchmark for the Iowa Metadata Outreach
Project, we are conducting a survey to gage GIS users’ interest in metadata as
well as their knowledge of metadata creation and their use of metadata in the
work place. We hope to understand metadata use by individuals in the state and
to identify ways to assist in metadata creation and promotion. Survey results will be posted in February.
